Hydrotherapy at Physiotherapy Works - Elland

Hydrotherapy is a form of physiotherapy performed in warm water, designed to help adults & children move more comfortably when land-based exercise is difficult or painful.

The buoyancy of the water reduces the load on joints and injured tissues while providing natural resistance for strengthening. This allows exercises to be performed with less pain, greater confidence, and improved mobility.

Hydrotherapy can be particularly helpful for people with:

• Arthritis and joint pain
• Long-term musculoskeletal conditions
• Post-surgical rehabilitation
• Severe injuries limiting land-based exercise
• Neurological conditions
• Reduced mobility or confidence with movement

Our hydrotherapy sessions are guided by experienced physiotherapists, ensuring exercises are safe, progressive, and tailored to your individual needs.
